In 1746, Benjamin Franklin in Poor Richard’s Almanac wrote, “When the well is dry we know the worth of water.”  Today, nowhere is the well more dry than in the country of Liberia.    However, since 2009, FACE Africa has been working to provide access to clean and safe drinking water to millions of Liberian people who suffer from many waterborne illnesses. FACE Africa does this by funding and supporting sustainable clean water projects and partnering with local communities in addition to other government agencies.

To that end, FACE Africa will be hosting its third annual Clean Water Benefit Gala.  This  fundraising event will take place on March 22, 2012 at The St. Regis Hotel, 2 East 55th Street, New York, NY.  The event will include a cocktail reception, dinner, and art auction. This year’s gala honoree has been named as Lisa Lovatt-Smith, founder of OrphanAid Africa.  Ms. Lovatt-Smith is an acclaimed writer as well as a former editor at US Vogue who moved to Ghana to tackle the African orphan crisis. In addition, Quddus, a known entertainment journalist and presenter, will be hosting this evening’s exciting event.

If you can’t imagine a life without clean water then why not help support those who are living without?  To do that, click HERE and purchase a ticket for this very important event.
