Sweet And Savory Crepes At Bar Suzette

I’m a sucker for a good crepe.  And let’s be honest, is there such a thing as a bad crepe?  (Besides the epic flops I tried to make once in the comfort of my NYC kitchen, which turned out more like lumpy pancakes than crepes…so yes.  I guess there is such a thing as a bad crepe.  No amount of Nutella was going to turn those suckers around.)  Luckily, the folks at Bar Suzette are entirely trained in the art of making a proper crepe, so I was in good hands.

Can't go wrong with goat cheese!

Their menu is straight and to the point, offering a variety of crepes (and only crepes), ranging from $5 to $12.  After much deliberation (sweet?  savory?  sweet?  savory?), I finally settled on the heirloom squash, basil, and goat cheese crepe.  Turns out, savory was certainly the way to go.

Savory Goodness

Make sure to visit an ATM ahead of time, as the creperie is currently cash only.

  1. Oh yumm!! I love crepes – I will definately be checking this out on my next trip to NYC!

    • Awesome! Let us know which one is your fave!

  2. I also tried some crepe menus and to be honest it took me a while before I managed to make my first good crepe. Well, although the crepes I make cannot match those at Bar Suzette, at least I mastered the art of making decent crepe. The good thing though is that now I can actually make crepes at home!

    • Hey Harriet! I’m sure your crepes are amazing! What is your favorite thing to put inside them?

Kudos to you for mastering the art of the crepe!:-)

    • Ohh, I’ll have to hop over to your website and get some tips for making crepes! I tried once, and royally screwed them up;-)
