The Antiques Garage In Chelsea
Even if you’re not in the market for a vintage victrola, you must, must, MUST carve out an hour during your weekend to visit The Antiques Garage in Chelsea. Living in the city seven years, I’m a bit embarrassed SHAMED to admit that this was my first time to the Garage, but let it be known, it will most certainly not be my last! Every weekend, 100+ vendors gather in the parking garage, selling everything from vintage postcards to antique cameras to your great-grandmother’s wedding dress. Let’s just say, there’s no shortage of stuff to further clutter up your apartment.
My favorite part was checking out the clothing. I particularly loved this bold colored accordion style dress, circa 1960′s, being sold by an eccentric redhead with a zest for time-honored threads. While I couldn’t justify shelling out the $85 the frock was going for, I surely hope someone else gets the chance to saunter in it poolside this summer, Cosmo in hand, stilettos on feet, shades covering face, doing a stunning impression of Megan Draper from Mad Men.
What great fashion finds have you found this week?

Seriously EVERYTHING you could possibly think of! There was one woman who sold nothing but vintage postcards…so much fun to read them!;-)
Had to comment on this.
This is, hands down, my fave Antique market. People are so cool and nice, and I even made friends from here.
Would you be my next amiga?

Looks like the thrift store shoppers dream! A very cool find!
It really is! Barring the weather isn’t sweltering hot (like it was the day I went!), you could literally spend hours in this place!
