Travel The World Without Leaving NYC At The 2nd Annual Travel + Leisure Global Bazaar
Have you been dreaming of taking a trip around the world, but can’t quite afford it yet?
On September 28th to September 30th, 2012, you can experience that trip through Travel + Leisure’s 2nd Annual Global Bazaar without even having to tackle the airport lines at JFK! This fun and exciting travel event will be taking place at The Lexington Armory which is located at 68 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY.
At this year’s Global Bazaar you’ll be able to experience Singaporean street food, taste Chilean wines, take a virtual African Safari, not to mention all the spontaneous music and dance performances. In addition, each of the installations at this bazaar will let you actually feel that you’re traveling from one region to the next, all the while letting you experience each of the region’s food, culture and amazing shopping!
What really makes this event doubly wonderful is that Travel + Leisure has partnered with Room to Read, a 501 (c) (3) which is built on the belief that “world change starts with educated children.” Starting with that belief, the focus of Room to Read is to improve the literacy rate alongside gender equality in the developing nations of Asia and Africa. Impressed with their mission, Travel + Leisure will be donating a percentage of their ticket sales to this very important and needed global non-profit.
If you’d like to take that round the world trip, minus the jet-lag, why not click HERE for tickets and enjoy a weekend of local, global, traveling fun!

You should definitely plan your trip to NYC around some of these great annual events…double the fun!:-)
I would have loved this! (Not complaining, obviously, as I was off on my own travel adventure, but still!) I’m obsessed with trying new and interesting foods (clearly…!).

Wow! This sounds like so much fun…It sort of reminds me of the mini fairs or fiesta carnivals we have on Guam…Thanks for sharing!
