New Yorker Moments
New York is nothing if not a city of extremes, so to have days that are not-too-hot and not-too-cold but just right are few and far between. Needless to say, when these days are here I take full advantage. This week was one of carmel apple spice cider and leisurely strolls through the Upper West Side, Saturday morning outdoor brunch at the Breadbox Cafe in Long Island City, and bench sitting in Central Park with a hysterical book. Just like Paris is loved in the spring, NYC is most certainly loved in the fall. What were your favorite New York minutes this week?
{28th Street between 6th and 7th Avenues is always brimming with the season’s best flowers}
{Fabulous showing of “Romantics Anonymous” at the FIAF with a Q&A by curator John Mariani and chocolatier Laurent Gerbaud}
{Since I finished watching Season 8 of The Office on Netflix, I started reading Mindy’s memoir and just adore it}
{Central Park is strewn with leaves of all colors}
{Delicious cheese plate from Risposo 72, an adorable wine bar on the UWS}

Funnily enough I’ve only been to New York in dead winter. Still loved it and we had plenty of New Yorker moments.

Winter is a fantastic time to visit…in that you get all the gorgeous holiday decorations in November and December, and the rest of the winter you get the city pretty much to yourself;-)
Ahhh, Central Park in the Fall … one of my favorite places to be! Except for right now, of course. Hurricanes suck

Haha, I hear ya! Went out this morning to take some pics, it’s a ghost town out there. Minus the tourists, who are out in full force with their ponchos and cameras, of course;-)
I love those perfect days in your city. In Washington, DC we have very few of the as well. Gotta enjoy them when you can!
Absolutely! That post came at just the right time, before the lovely aftermath of hurricane Sandy:-)
ohhh I may just steal this idea and do London Moments;) it would make a great post over here too I think!

Fantabulous! Imitation is the best form of flattery!;-)
It looks and sounds amazing! I guess the time is right for me to make a visit!
I love the city, but I have to admit, I’ve never been this time of year. I’ll have to change that soon.

There’s a small window of opportunity before winter hits (and it hits HARD!), so I always try to get as much outdoor activity in while it’s still enjoyable!;-)
i love the breadbox cafe. it has become a breakfast staple in LIC…very good service
It’s a great find! Affordable food and I love strolling along the LIC waterfront afterwards!:-)
Love the New Yorker moments posts! I can’t decide if I love fall in New York or spring in New York more! But my favorite seasonable flavor is definitely pumpkin (trying to get as much in as I can before it all changes to peppermint and gingerbread)!

Thanks Koren! Grabbing that first Pumpkin Spice Latte at Starbucks is always a fall highlight of mine;-)
