From The Lips Of A Local

Each week we feature a different local, sharing their unique experiences on what makes NYC the best place, ever.  Hey, we never said New Yorkers weren’t cocky.

This week we’re chatting with Queens resident, Marc Zazeela

Name: Marc Zazeela

Occupation: Salesman

New Yorker since: 1977

What hood do you live in? Briarwood, Queens

Where do you get your morning coffee? Starbucks

Restaurant you’d be really, really sad bordering on clinically depressed if they closed: The Family Restaurant in Forest Hills.

Every tourist must visit: The Museum of Natural History and the 9-11 Memorial.

NYC trend you’re currently loving/hating: Pedestrian malls and bike lanes. Great for tourists but lousy for New Yorkers. Who needs a cafe in the middle of Broadway?

Favorite way to while away a (non-workday!) NYC afternoon: Stroll the Highline and stop for lunch in the Chelsea Market.

NYC’s best kept secret: Forest Park
