Season Of Savings On (And Off) Broadway
If you’re like me, you have a list of Broadway shows you can’t wait to get around to see. But like everything in this city, theater isn’t cheap, and it isn’t so easy to cross those shows off your list.
That’s why I was so excited to find out about a little something called Season Of Savings, a program that was created in response to the devastating effect that September 11th had on sales at Broadway shows and at businesses in and around the Times Square theatre district.
Now in its 11th year, Season Of Savings is the unofficial “New York Theatregoer’s Guide to Times Square.” It includes a special edition Playbill, published twice per year, that features discount coupons to numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway shows as well as restaurants, hotels and NYC attractions (you can access all these great discounts via the website, too.)
There are tons of fabulous shows that I can’t wait to see, namely…Newsies for $81 (regularly $142), and Chicago for $49.40 (regularly $138!)
This fabulous program lasts through November 3, 2013. Take advantage of these prices, or participate in the program’s “Win It Wednesdays”, where every Wednesday during the run of the program, they will be giving away a pair of tickets to a participating show and drinks for two at Inc Lounge via their Facebook Page. You know we at UYC love a good theater giveaway…we’ll see you there!
What show is at the top of your “to see” list?
