Noteworthy New Yorkers: Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation

Jaclyn Smith has said that, “Angels are like diamonds.  They can’t be made, you have to find them.  Each one is unique.”  Get ready for a unique evening because on October 29, 2013, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation will be having its annual Angel Ball to celebrate the life of a very special angel, Gabrielle Rich.

In 1996, Gabrielle Rich, a beautiful 27 year old actress and Hodgkin’s lymphoma survivor succumbed to acute myelogenous leukemia.  Yet, though Gabrielle lost her courageous battle to AML, her dream lives on in the work of the organization created in her memory, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research.

The Angel Ball will be held and hosted by Gabrielle’s mother, Grammy-nominated songwriter and philanthropist, Denise Rich,  as well as Ilona Rich Schachter and Daniella Rick Kilstock.  In addition, this star-studded event will be honoring Simon de Pury, Fay Duncan and Clay B. Siegall, and the Dinner Chairs are Hugh Jackman, Deborra-lee Furness, Khaled AL Muhairy, Dr. Marc Lippman and Kathleen and Stanley Glaser.

The event begins with cocktails at 6:30 p.m. and dinner with a live auction and show at 7:30 p.m. The event address is Cipriani Wall Street, 55 Wall Street, New York, NY.
