New Yorker Moments

{fun flea market finds}

Even after living in the city for 8+ years, I still delight in “NYC Firsts”.  This weekend marked one: perusing the Hell’s Kitchen Flea Market!  We took advantage of the unseasonably warm weekend and had my favorite kind of Sunday, brunch followed by strolls and just a tiny bit of shopping.  The outdoor market is filled with hats, gloves, brooches, old photographs, china, silver, and just about everything else you could ever imagine finding in your grandmother’s attic.  I picked up a few vintage hankies to give as wedding trinkets to my family (if my mother-in-law is reading this, don’t worry, I will be bleaching them first!:-)

Have you experienced anything new this week?  Share below!

{mimosas + strawberry butter at alfies’s}

{sneak peak at a new restaurant opening in hell’s kitchen that will surely be one of my staples: bea}

{my new candle obsession…complete with an austen quote}

{annual tradition: cheering on the marathoners on central park south as they near the finish}

xx,

Jess

  4. Those pancakes look divine, Jess! And Austen hit the nail on the head with that quote. I haven’t experienced anything new this week, but I have some more L.A. discoveries up my sleeve in the coming weeks.
