With our mantra being “bringing you the best in NYC, as used by New Yorkers”, it should come as no surprise that we are LOVING the concept of NYC’s newest delivery service, Served By Stadium. Launched earlier this year, SBS takes the idea that New Yorkers should be able to mix and match all their favorite dishes from the best restaurants across the city, and have them delivered in one order. Brilliant, right?
Founder and CEO of SBS, Shaunak Amin, says, “I wanted to find a way to create a menu of New York’s best dishes, so people don’t have to sift through pages and pages of unpopular or irrelevant things to eat and get them delivered all at the same time. I wanted dumplings in chili oil from Han Dynasty for my appetizer course, Goat Biryani from Junoon for my entree course and dessert from my favorite bakery all delivered at the same time and there was no easy way to do this.”
I thought back over the many a nights when the hubs and I couldn’t agree on what to order. I would be on one of my crazy vegan cleanses, and he would be craving pizza like nobody’s business. So we’d end up placing orders from two different restaurants on Seamless, and in turn paying to reach the minimum delivery order, double delivery fees, AND double tip. Budget fail!
Served By Stadium is totes the solution to that problem. Oh, and bonus points! They don’t have delivery fees, and their food runners don’t accept tips! I was pretty ecstatic when I heard that, cause you know living in NYC, you tip for everyyyyything (even rude taxi drivers…tell me I’m not the only one who does this?!) And, if you’re one of the first 1,000 members, the normal $19 a month membership fee is waived. So get on over and sign up now! Here’s a few of the dishes you can be anticipating, can we say nom nom?!
p.s. If you’re a vegetarian (like me!), or have other food restrictions, SBS absolutely works around this! My delish meal (pictured at the top of the post) consisted of summer rolls as my app, the best lasagna I’ve ever had as my entree (for reals, the hubs was even stealing it!), and for dessert, a delightful pastry filled with praline cream and caramelized hazelnuts. My lasagna was delivered piping hot, and precisely on time! How’s that for the best of NYC, as used by New Yorkers?!
