5 Ways To Use Your (NY) City

How has everyone’s summer been going?! As I’m sure I’ve said countless times on the blog, it’s my absolute favorite season in NYC, and I’ve certainly been trying to make the most of it! These are 5 things I’ve done recently and absolutely loved, and would definitely suggest you add them to your Summer in the City Itinerary, too!

NYC Free Activity To Do: Watch an outdoor movie (The list this links to includes every outdoor movie happening in NYC this summer. We saw La La Land in Astoria Park a few weeks back and it was such a magical summer evening!)

NYC Book To Read: The Summer We Read Gatsby (We read this for July’s Novels of New York Book Club meetup, and it’s such a fun summertime read, set in the Hamptons.)

NYC Show To Binge: Gypsy (This is a newbie on Netflix, and is an addictive psychological drama, set in the Big Apple.)

NYC Waterfront DiningLa Marina (Set on the Hudson River off of Dyckman Street in Inwood, this restaurant is absolutely stunning. We went on a Friday night, and they had live music. You can go for dinner, or choose to sit in the lounge area under the twinkle lights and enjoy drinks and hookah. It quickly became my favorite summertime place to dine!)

NYC Ice Cream To Eat: Ample Hills Creamery (I first discovered these guys last year, and even as someone who doesn’t go crazy over most ice creams, I certainly go wild for theirs! The Ooey Gooey Butter Cake is my favorite, served on a pretzel cone. If you live outside of NYC ((or are just feeling particularly lazy)), you can now order it through Amazon!)
