That Time I Took A Selfie With Justin Timberlake

So last weekend I got to hang out with Johnny Depp, Brangelina, and Jennifer Aniston.  Oh, AND go on the set of some of my fave TV shows and films…Mad Men, I Love Lucy, and Jurassic Park.  Did I mention Beyonce and I danced a little diddy some of you may have heard once or twice…”Single Ladies”?  And can we talk just a minute about taking a selfie with JT?!  Yeah, no big deal.

Okay, okay, so Brangelina and friends may have been wax figures, but seriously guys, so much fun!

Madame Tussauds wax museum is located in the heart of New York’s Times Square, and is home to over 200 lifelike wax figurines.  As you can tell from the photos, there’s no ropes or barriers banning you from getting as close as you want (hellloooo Donald Draper!), so you can literally get right in there next to your favorite stars, compare height, hand size, and have your own Hollywood photo shoot!  A super fun way to spend an afternoon that’s not just for kids or tweens (although there is a huge super hero section that the kiddos would be sure to LOVE!)  I went with the hubby and two of our friends (no kids in tow), and we had a blast.  Obviously:-)

Tip: if you buy tickets ahead of time online you can save 15%, and if you’re a NYC or New Jersey Local you save 20%…for more details on pricing, check out their website.  Moving at a very rapid pace, you can expect to get through the exhibit in a little more than an hour, however, if you’re a bit picture crazy (just saying), expect it to take double the time.

Madame Tussauds is so much fun! I’ve been to the ones in New York and London and would definitely go back. That kind of goofy stuff is so up my alley!

  • This is motivating me to visit Madame Tussauds in Hollywood. It’s amazing how true-to-life they’re able to make these molds look!

  • Nancie says:

What a fun way to spend a day. I’ve been to the one in London, many years ago. If George Clooney is in the house, I’d get close for a pic :)

  • budget jan says:

Looks like great fun. The photos are great and loved your poses.

  • Mike says:

This rocked, Jess! I sooooo got punked at first because I for real thought that first one with Timberlake was real! OMG I would love to do this. Or even better with some new wax figures that no one knows about yet. The Woody Allen one reminded me of my post on your blog :) We are wishing the 3 of you a safe and Happy 4th of July!! :)

    • Used York City says:

Haha, they are SO realistic, right? You definitely need to check it out when you come to NYC! I hope you and Phoenix have the best 4th of July ever, and enjoy some good grilling!:-)

  • Muza-chan says:

    Cool photos…

  • This is one of those things you never do if you live in NYC (it’s for tourists!). Still, it looks like a fun afternoon.

    • Used York City says:

Haha definitely a tourist attraction, but we still had so much fun! Sometimes it’s nice to be a tourist in your own city!;-)

  • You and your friend look like you were really enjoying yourselves. The only time I’ve ever been in a wax museum was when I was a kid visiting San Francisco. My parents didn’t want to go in, so they just waited for us outside. I think there was some sort of Hall of Horrors that completely freaked me out so much that I ran through the rest of the museum to get to the exit.

    • Used York City says:

Oh boy, with as realistic as these things looked, I bet the hall of horrors was really spooky!

Hope your move back to the states is going well, Michele!

  • Scarlett says:

Hahaha I love this. I didn’t think to take a selfie with any of them when I went to the one in London. Clearly I need to go back xx

  • Ally says:

Haha i went here (but to the Los Angeles one) last year. I may or may not have touched wax-justins crotch for a photo haha. Girls will be girls!

  • Maria Falvey says:

Hahaha – those are so well created, true art! Thanks for the laugh during my day of drudgery.
