Happy Turkey Day, New Yorkers! In honor of Thanksgiving, I thought I’d review a museum dedicated to the hosts of the very first Thanksgiving…The National Museum Of The American Indian!
Located in Lower-Manhattan, this museum features both permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as a wide-range of public programs including music and dance performances, films, and symposia, all dedicated to exploring the diversity of the Native Americans. Check out their calendar for a plethora of cultural events.
On top of the already free admittance, you can also download a free audio guide from the iTunes App Store called Infinity of Nations. The guide helps you to get the most out of your visit by highlighting objects from the exhibition and providing “intuitive, super easy, and visual navigation”.
So how about that, New Yorkers? While you’re sitting around the table giving thanks, you now have one more thing to add to your list. And if you’re feeling super ambitious, you can even head down for a visit today. Just get moving before the turkey kicks in.
