A few weeks ago we had some friends over for a low key mid-week dinner–super casual, definitely not the kind of thing that requires anyone to bring a plate or bottle, more of a “just bring yourselves!” kinda affair. When they showed up, however, I was struck at the genius thinking behind what they did bring: breakfast for the next morning!A little box tied in baker’s twine, carrying blueberry muffins and almond croissants made for the perfect way to wake up the next day, not having to think about making a thing. Plus, you totally don’t have to devote time in the kitchen for this: just stop by your favorite NYC bakery and pick up a selection of goodies. I’m totally stealing this idea from now on.
