Treat Yo’Self To Monthly Massages!

What is your favorite way to #TreatYoSelf in the city?

I’d have to say that the absolute most favorite way to treat myself is to have a massage or go to the theater, off or on Broadway. I simply love all theater.

When do you most often utilize this treat?

For a massage every 3 to 4 weeks and I go to the theater whenever there is a Meetup group offering a play that I want to see, or I use TDF (Theater Development Fund) to purchase tickets.

It seems to be a trend that #TreatYoSelf days tend to come when there is either something to celebrate or when you need a pick-me-up. In the case of the latter, what words of encouragement would you give a New Yorker who is having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day?

Hmmm. Goooood questions. I’d say that that New Yorker should first take a long walk and know that thoughts are fleeting clouds that do pass. The trick is-not to get stuck in them. So the first thing that I would suggest is a long walk and if near water all the better. Then when you get home you should go online to and watch one of his sermons. That will definitely help you quiet your mind and find some sense of center. Then you can journal, go on a Netflix binge or go to the theater. But whatever you do: Know two things: This too shall pass and Keep the Faith.
